Donald Cocoazza was a four-year starter and signal caller asmiddle linebacker on the football team.  Team Co-Captain in1969, he was a member of the 1969 Lambert Bowl team that was thenumber one ranked defensive team in the country by the NCAA. The squad went 7-2 and surrendered only 9.8 points per game. Highly respected by his peers, Cocozza was personally selected as“All Opponent Deensive Linebacker” by NorwichUniversity’s coaching staff.  Selected to the weeklyECAC All-East Team four times, he also served double duties as theMariners’ place kicker all four years. 

Upon graduation Cocozza held several academy records: Most PATs(Career): 38, Most Field Goals Kicked (Career): 13, Longest FieldGoal: 39, Most Field Goals (Game): 3, and Most PATs (Game): 5.
