NEW YORK (Feb. 22, 2026) – The USMMA men's and women's swimming & diving team sent a handful of swimmers to the NYU Winter Invitational on Saturday at the Violets' Palladium Athletic Facility in the East Village section of Manhattan. The event served as a "last chance" meet with swimmers from New York University, Adelphi, Baruch, Bridgeport, Pace and Kings Point.

On the women's side, two Mariners recorded season-best times, as senior
Jessica Felske (East Troy, Wis.) swam a 1:07.50 in the 100 breaststroke and freshman
Bryony Shipe (Ford City, Pa.) touched the wall in 2:18.33 in the 200 individual medley.

For the men, a total of six Mariners achieved the best times of their careers. They are listed below.Â
- Freshman Nicholas Hardt (Friendswood, Texas) in the 100 butterfly (50.83)
- Junior Caden Latchaw (Queenstown, Md.) in the 100 freestyle (47.34)
- Junior Luke Frank (Highland, Md.) in the 50 free (23.34)
- Sophomore Max Fedorenko (Chicago, Ill.) in the 100 fly (50.89)
- Junior Jason Equiano (Yonkers, N.Y.) in the 100 fly (53.12)
- and sophomore Trevor Dash (Ketchikan, Alaska) in the 100 backstroke (52.58)Â
The "Mariner of the Meet" honors, awarded based on a team vote to an individual for their performance and contribution to the team, went to Equiano for the men and Shipe for the women.

Thomas Cable (Litchfield Park, Ariz.), junior
Charlie Williams (Vienna, Va.) and freshman
Carter Kov (Goodyear, Ariz.)  – to the NCAA Regional Diving Championship Meet Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28 up at Connecticut College, with hopes of qualifying for the NCAA National Championship Meet in mid-March.
