NEW LONDON, CONN. (April 5, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's outdoor track and field team suited up at the CGA Spring Invite on Saturday. Freshman
Morgan Doll (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) put up three top 10 finishes, while sophomores
Jordan Washington (Tampa, Fla.) and
Jade Winters (Jackson, Ohio) both had one each.

Doll finished fourth in the 100m hurdles with a personal best of 17.79 and eighth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:14.73 while picking up another in the long jump with a mark of 4.76m (15' 7.50") and a seventh-place finish. Â
Winters set two new personal bests in the triple jump, and long jump with leaps of 9.61m (31' 6.5") and 4.47m (14' 8"). Washington finished ninth in the discus with a toss of 27.22m (89' 4") and set in a new personal best in the hammer throw with a 32.56m (106' 10") mark. Sophomore
Katelin Hanifan (Andover, N.J.) recorded a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 7.68m (25' 2.5").
Freshman
Jayme Santasiero (Houston, Texas) and sophomore
Faith Sammons (Aubrey, Texas) put up personal bests and two top 20 finishes. Santasiero
was the Blue and Gray's fastest finisher, crossing the finish line in 13.49, and Sammons followed after with a time of 13.64.
Up next, Kings Point will compete at the Wilton Wright Invitational hosted by Southern Connecticut St. the following Saturday, April 12, in New Haven, Conn.
