LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (April 19, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's 4x100 meter relay team of freshman
Morgan Doll (Mount Pleasant, S.C.), sophomores Faith Sammons (Aubrey, Texas) and Jade Winters (Jackson, Ohio), and freshman Jayme Santasiero (Houston, Texas) set a new Academy record with a time of 51.94 at the Rider Invite on Saturday, shattering the old record of 53.11 set in 2018. Additionally, the Mariners had five runners post personal bests on the day.

Doll, Winters, and Santasiero also posted personal bests in three different events on the day. Doll posted a career-best in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.58 while registering two others in the high jump and triple jump with leaps of 1.40m (4' 7") and 8.86m (29' 1"). Winters crossed the finish line with personal bests in the 200m and 400m with times of 29.99 and 1:06.40 while posting another in the triple jump with a mark of 9.86m (32' 4.25"). Santasiero set new PRs in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump with a mark of 1.40m (4' 7") and leaps of 4.44m (14' 7") and 9.62m (31' 6.75").
Senior
Katherine Kerchner (Reading, Pa.) put up a new personal best in the 1500m, coming across with a time of 6:08.92.
Sophomore
Jordan Washington (Tampa, Fla.) recorded two PRs in the hammer throw and javelin with tosses of 37.73m (123' 9") and 20.33m (66' 8").
The Blue and Gray will compete on Sunday, April 27, at the Skyline Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet on the campus of Farmingdale State College. Kings Point will be looking to win its first Skyline Conference title after finishing as the runner-up at the meet for the last three years.
