CHESTER, Pa. (May 12, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's and women's outdoor track & field team finished their 2025 outdoor season strong on Monday at the Widener Final Qualifier. Freshman Morgan Doll (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) broke an eight year old school record in the 400m hurdles to lead the Blue and Gray. Additionally, senior Konnor Bye (Liberty Hill, Texas) recorded two top 10 finishes, and three other Mariners posted personal bests on the day.

Doll etched her name into the Mariner record books, registering a new Academy record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.91, breaking the previous mark of 1:10.74 held by
Kaleigh D'Arcy '20 back in 2017. The time was also a new personal best for Doll.
Bye registered a new personal best leap of 6.96m (22' 10") in the long jump for a sixth-place finish and put up a 13.49m (44' 3.25") mark in the triple jump to finish ninth.
Sophomore Pierce Murray (Meridian, Idaho) set a new personal best in the 5000m, crossing the finish line with a time of 16:42.87.
