NEW HAVEN, CONN. (April 10, 2026) – The USMMA women's track & field team competed Friday morning at the Wilton Wright Invitational. The Mariners put forth a strong showing, posting four top-10 finishes, eight personal bests, and were the highest Skyline Conference finisher, defeating Farmingdale State by six points.

Freshman Eleanor Romeo (Carson City, Nev.) led the way for the Blue and Gray, crossing the finish line in second in the women's 1,500 meters with a personal best time of 5:05.18 and finishing in sixth in the women's 800 meters with a personal best time of 2:31.88.
Freshman Lili Telvi (Southampton, N.Y.) added a sixth-place finish with a personal-best time of 5:24.35 in the women's 1,500 meters. Classmate Harmony Taylor (Morgantown, Ky.) and sophomore Lauren Enterline (Harrisburg, Pa.) also recorded personal-best performances with times of 5:43.20 and 5:45.56, respectively.
Telvi continued her strong day with a seventh-place finish in the women's 5,000 meters with a personal-best time of 20:29.10.
Enterline recorded a personal-best time of 2:51.61 in the women's 800 meters.
In the sprints, sophomore Jayme Santasiero (Houston, Texas) posted a personal-best time of 13.23 in the women's 100 meters.
Merchant Marine returns to competition on Sunday, April 26, at the Skyline Conference Championship hosted by Farmingdale State in Farmingdale, N.Y.
