KINGS POINT, N.Y. (March 24, 2025) – On the second day of the NCAA DIII Wrestling National Championship Meet last weekend, USMMA sophomore Tyler Withers (Gettysburg, Va.) was presented with plaque for amassing the most falls in all of Division III.

Withers went into the NCAA Championships with 21 falls and was in a five-way tie for second place in the nation behind then-national leader Caleb Burkhart of Wilkes. Burkhart lost both of his bouts at NCAAs up in Providence, while two of the four other wrestlers Withers was tied with only produced one pin apiece. The other two did not qualify for nationals.

In the very first session of the National Championships, Withers picked up back-to-back pins, including one over a wrestler from arch-rival Coast Guard. He wound up finishing the year with 23 falls.
