KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Feb. 17, 2024) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy wrestling team lost its road dual meet to Rhode Island College on Saturday afternoon, 23-21. The defeat drops the Mariners dual record to 3-1, while the Anchormen improve to 3-3 with the victory.

Eric DeWald (Marshall, Va.) with a first period technical fall in the 184 via a technical fall in the first period to make it a one-point contest, 18-17.

Reid Garrison (Broadway, Va.) earned a 7-1 decision in the heavyweight battle at 285 against Michael Alfonso.
