KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Nov. 17, 2021) – U.S. Merchant Marine Academy freshman Grace Jackson (Parma, Idaho) was named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after her efforts in the Mariners' season-opening 72-40 home win over Yeshiva last Wednesday night.
 
Jackson had a head-turning performance in her collegiate debut. She matched her jersey number with 21 points to lead all players on the night, while also bringing down eight rebounds with three steals and two assists in the affair.

The Mariners are back at it tonight when they hit the road for a non-conference game at Baruch College in Manhattan. Tipoff against is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Bearcats' ARC Arena.
