KINGS POINT, N.Y. (March 16, 2026) – A trio of USMMA women's basketball players were recognized regionally on Monday morning when D3hoops.com announced its All-Region Teams for the 2025-26 season. Junior Emily Grasseler (Millbrook, N.Y.) and sophomore Carolae Barton (Waldorf, Md.) earned spots on the All-Region 3 First Team, while senior Hannah Ramsden (Port Aransas, Texas) was selected to the Third Team.
 
This is the second-straight year that both Grasseler and Barton garnered First Team All-Region honors. Ramsden receives the regional praise for the first time in her career.
 
Barton was the team-leader and also ranked high nationally in scoring (18.8 ppg), rebounding (12.4 rpg), shooting (60.6%) and blocking (2.89 bpg). The sophomore recorded 20 double-doubles on the season, which ranks eighth among all DIII players.
 
Grasseler ranked second on the squad in scoring (17.0 ppg) and rebounding (10.2 rpg) and her 19 double-doubles were good for 10th in the nation.
 
Ramsden averaged 14.6 points per game and was the team-leader in three-point shooting, knocking down 36.1% from beyond the arc, and assists (3.2 per game).
 
All three were also First Team All-Skyline selections this season, helping lead the Mariners to its fourth conference title in program history and fifth trip to the NCAA National Championship.

Merchant Marine finished the season with a 23-5 overall record and were 18-2 in Skyline Conference action. It was the Mariners' sixth 20-win season in the past seven full campaigns.
