Madison, NJ – The USMMA women's lacrosse team two goals from Alexandra Winfree (Millstone, NJ) but was downed by FDU-Florham, 16-2, Saturday afternoon.   The Devils offense was paced by the two goals and five assists of Courtney Rendinaro.  Kelly Allison (Palos Verdes, CA) made 13 saves for the Mariners between the pipes.

FDU-Florham (6-7) scored the opening 13 goals of the game before Winfree scored a goal just before the halftime intermission.  Kelly Roche, Brianna Capobianoco, and Katie Rolwood all netted a hat trick for the home team. 

Merchant Marine (0-7) made it 14-2 on Winfree's second marker with 10:45 remaining in regulation.  Senior Kristen Bell (New City, NY) led USMMA with four draw controls while Winfree and Breanna Linsley (Henderson, NV) both had a pair of groundballs. 

The Mariners will play their final home of the program's inaugural season Monday night at they welcome Farmingdale State to Brooks Stadium at 7:00 pm.
