NEW HAVEN, CONN. (April 10, 2026) – The USMMA men's track & field team competed Friday morning at the Wilton Wright Invitational. The Mariners put up an outstanding effort, finishing fourth out of 11 teams in a competitive field and were the top Skyline Conference finisher, defeating Farmingdale State by 22 points. They also posted 13 top-10 finishes and 11 personal-best performances on the day.

Senior
Luke Zwiesler (Colbert, Wash.) led the way for the Blue and Gray, capturing first place in the men's 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 3:59.82 and adding another victory in the men's 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:56.90.
Sophomore Ethan Alliot (Sheridan, Wyo.) got the day off to a strong start, adding a third-place finish in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 10:18.46. Freshman Caden Davis (Katy, Texas) and classmate Brayden Mercier (Valparaiso, Ind.) also recorded personal-best performances in the event, placing sixth and eighth with times of 10:45.32 and 10:58.27, respectively.
Senior Silas Glynn (Folsom, Calif.) had a strong day with a third-place finish in the men's 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:09.40 and added a fifth-place finish in the men's 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:58.72.
Freshman Cooper Johnson (Honolulu, Hawaii) placed fifth in the men's 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:11.40, and classmate Arjun Suresh (Plainsboro, N.J.) finished seventh with a personal-best time of 4:14.52.
Freshman Gage Holub (Mount Vernon, Iowa) recorded a sixth-place finish in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.38.
Freshman Enois Maceira (Monroe Township, N.J.) added a ninth-place finish in the men's 5,000 meters with a time of 16:49.63.
Senior Ben Rini (Vermilion, Ohio) posted a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 14.69m and added an eighth-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 42.43m. Rini also recorded a personal-best throw of 39.51m in the discus.
USMMA returns to competition on Sunday, April 26, at the Skyline Conference Championship hosted by Farmingdale State in Farmingdale, N.Y.
