KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Sept. 24, 2025) – The USMMA women's soccer team played Mount St. Vincent to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night at Bartoszek Field in Skyline Conference action. The Mariners move to 3-3-2 (3-0-1 Skyline), while the Dolphins stand at 3-1-2 (1-0-1 Skyline).

Mount St. Vincent jumped out to a 2-0 first-half lead with goals in the 22nd and 37th minutes. Dana DeDominicis opened the scoring off a corner kick, before Kerrigyn Lynam doubled the advantage on a strike set up by Arianna Hernandez.

The Mariners responded quickly in the 39th minute, as freshman
Sakura Lopez (San Diego, Calif.) finished a build-up started by freshman
Kennedy Crovo (Lexington, Ky.) and junior
Lauren Enterline (Middletown, Del.) to cut the deficit to 2-1.

USMMA equalized in the 71st minute when juniorÂ
Ainsley Carlon (Gilbert, Ariz.) scored on a high, long-range shot from distance, leveling the contest at 2-2.

The hosts pressed late, with sophomore
Sarah Welsch (Ellicott City, Md.) and senior
Morgan Mitchell (Amory, Miss.) both testing the keeper, but the Dolphins' defense held.

At the other end, sophomore goalkeeper
Eva Fields (Williamsburg, Va.) came up with a key diving stop on a through ball to stop a breakaway in the 87th minute to preserve the tie. Fields finished with three saves on the night.

The Mariners recorded 13 shots, four on goal, while Mount St. Vincent tallied 15 shots, including five on target.

Up next, Merchant Marine will travel to face rival SUNY Maritime this Saturday, Sept. 27, with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Bronx, N.Y.
