BRONX, N.Y. (Sept. 24, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw on the road Wednesday night at Mount St. Vincent in Skyline Conference action. With the result, the Mariners move to 5-2-2 (2-0-1 Skyline), while the Dolphins remain unbeaten at 5-0-1 (1-0-1 Skyline).

Junior goalkeeper
Ethan Howell (Alexandria, Va.) recorded four saves to secure his fourth clean sheet of the season. He made two stops in each half, including back-to-back saves in the 83rd and 86th minutes to preserve the result.
The Mariners produced six total shots on the night, with two on target. Junior
Andrew Jung (Fairfax, Va.) and senior
Drew Boukidis (Charlotte, N.C.) each tested the keeper, while junior
Cal Lutz (Charlotte, N.C.) and senior
Jack Ouellette (Alexandria, Va.) also generated attempts.
USMMA held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks, but Mount St. Vincent had the edge in overall shots, 11-6. The game was a physical contest, featuring seven yellow cards between the two sides.
The Mariners return to action this Saturday, Sept. 27, when they travel to rival SUNY Maritime for a Skyline Conference matchup beginning at noon.
