KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 13, 2025) – The USMMA men's lacrosse team sent its 10 seniors off with a big 20-4 home victory over St. Joseph's-Long Island on Saturday at Brooks Stadium. The victory improved the Mariners' record to 6-5 (3-1 Skyline), while the Golden Eagles fell to 2-5 (0-3 Skyline) in defeat.

A total of 14 different players registered at least one point for the Mariners, with 10 producing multi-point efforts. Of those 14, six were seniors who were celebrated pregame with a special Senior Day ceremony. And all 10 seniors found the stat-sheet to contribute to the victory.
Senior
Charlie Wahlin (Stafford, Va.) matched his career-best and tied for the game-high with four points, as he found the back of the net twice and also dished out two assists. Junior
Owen Barcus (Annapolis, Md.) also had four points on three goals and one helper.
Seniors
Jack Collins (Memphis, Tenn.) and
Jack Meyer (Sandy, Utah) along with sophomore
Owen Behr (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) all wound up with the same stat-line of two goals and one assist. Senior
Michael Emerick (Damascus, Md.) and freshman
Thomas Dekanich (Edwards, Colo.) both scored two goals, senior
Andrew Stephenson (Boca Raton, Fla.) and junior
William Badeer (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had a goal and an assist apiece and freshman
Tucker Kuhn (Towson, Md.) dished out two helpers.
Junior
Kyle Hennelly (Dacula, Ga.) and sophomores
Owen Markel (The Woodlands, Texas) and
Axel Flotten (Virginia Beach, Va.) all scored once and senior
Aidan Coleman (Killingworth, Conn.) had one assist.
Senior
Chris Neuman (South Huntington, N.Y.) won 12-of-13 face-offs and scooped up a game-high 12 ground balls. Classmate
Chris Wheaton (Midland Park, N.J.) had two GBs and two caused turnovers, fellow senior
Austin Demo (Pittsburgh, Pa.) also secured two ground balls and had one caused turnover and senior
Sawyer Melick (Basking Ridge, N.J.) gobbled up one GB and caused one turnover.
The Mariners won 23-of-27 face-offs, as freshman
James Bearden (Charleston, S.C.) was a perfect 4-for-4, junior
Adam Johnson (Canton, Ohio) won 3-of-4 and Kuhn won 4-of-6. Freshman
Liam Pearsall (Wilton, Conn.) had a career-best four ground balls.
Three Mariner goalies combined for four saves, with junior
Tucker Swinerton (Weston, Fla.) leading the way with three stops in over 20 minutes of action.
For St. Joseph's, senior Johnny Argueta had a team-high two points with one goal and one assist and four other Golden Eagles recorded one point each. Argueta and classmate Connor Owenburg both picked up a team-best four ground balls apiece, while Argueta led the team with two caused turnovers. Junior goalie Julian Gonzalez made seven saves in three quarters between the pipes.
Up next, the Mariners travel up to Westchester County on Tuesday night, April 15, to take on Manhattanville University. Opening draw is scheduled for 7 p.m. at GoValiants.com Field.
