STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Dec. 12, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's track & field team competed at the Seahawk Shootout hosted by Wagner on Friday afternoon at Ocean Breeze. Five Mariners posted personal bests overall, and three recorded PRs in multiple events on the afternoon.

Freshman sprinter Reagan Turman (San Antonio, Texas) posted a personal best of 46.81 in the 300 meters, and sophomore Lily Cary (Plymouth, Minn.) followed with a PR in the 300 meters with a time of 52.95. Cary continued her strong effort in the 60 meter hurdles, recording another personal best with a time of 11.65.
Freshmen Eleanor Romeo (Carson City, Nev.), Lili Telvi (Southampton, N.Y.), and Harmony Taylor (Morgantown, Ky.) all PRed in the women's mile and 3000 meters.
Romeo paced the Blue and Gray's standout efforts with a personal best of 5:47.00 in the mile before returning to register another PR of 11:23.32 in the women's 3,000 meters. Telvi set a personal best of 5:57.91 in the women's mile and followed it with another PR in the 3000 meters with a time of 12:01.60. Taylor rounded out the distance runners, adding two personal bests of her own, clocking 6:16.91 in the mile and 12:16.54 in the women's 3000 meters.
Merchant Marine returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the West Point Invitational, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. inside Gillis Field House in West Point, N.Y.
