OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's soccer team continued its unbeaten run in Skyline Conference action with a convincing 4–1 victory over Old Westbury on Saturday afternoon at Panther Park. The Mariners extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games, improving to 8-3-2 overall (7-0-1 Skyline) while the Panthers dropped to 6-5-0 (3-4-0 Skyline).

The Mariners opened the scoring in the 28th minute when sophomore Lauren Enterline (Harrisburg, Pa.) converted a cross from Senior Emma Cox (Huntingtown, Md.) after Junior Faith Sammons (Aubrey, Texas) helped spark the buildup to make it 1-0. The Blue and Gray would hold that advantage going into the halfway point after outshooting the Panthers 21-0.
USMMA kept the momentum rolling in the second half. Senior Morgan Mitchell (Amory, Miss.) finished off a combination play in the 59th minute from senior Marina Ronzoni (Riverhead, N.Y.) and freshman Sakura Lopez (San Diego, Calif.) to make it 2–0. Freshman Kennedy Crovo (Lexington, Ky.) twinkled the twine five minutes later in the 64th minute, netting her fourth goal of the season off another Lopez assist, stretching the margin to 3–0. Freshman Stella Newman (Columbus, Ohio) closed out the scoring for Merchant Marine in the 78th minute when she capitalized on a setup from sophomore Evelyn Moore (Irwin, Pa.) to record her second goal of the year. Old Westbury's lone tally came in the 86th minute from Stefany Donnelly, assisted by Taryn Hilke.
Merchant Marine outshot Old Westbury 39-3 overall in the match and dominated the corners 9-0.
Between the posts, freshmen Charli Warren (Atlanta, Ga.) and Kait Meyer (Lehi, Utah) split time in goal. Meyer played the second half and made one save.
USMMA heads on the road on Saturday, Oct. 18, to square off against St. Joseph's Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York, in Skyline Conference competition.
