FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (Oct. 12, 2024) – Senior Margaret Ripperger (McKinney, Texas) made six saves as the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's soccer team remained unscored upon in eight Skyline games this season and extended its unbeaten streak to 10 with a 0-0 draw at Farmingdale State. USMMA moved to 7-1-4 (6-0-2 Skyline), while Farmingdale State saw its record go to 5-6-4 (4-0-3 Skyline).

Game Link Neither team had a shot on-goal until the 23rd minute when a shot by sophomore Ainsley Carlon (Gilbert, Ariz.) from inside the 18-yard box was saved.

The Rams, meanwhile, were held without a shot on-goal until the 28th minute when Ripperger made the stop on an effort from the left corner of the 18-yard box.

USMMA had the next good chance in the 41st minute, but a shot by sophomore Alexx Forman (Cincinnati, Ohio) was saved.

Ripperger was tested once more with a long-distance shot in the 43rd minute and made the save to keep the game scoreless at the break.

USMMA pressured quickly to start the second half as junior Morgan Mitchell (Amory, Miss.) found space in the 47th minute, but missed high on a straight-away shot from distance.

Ripperger made another save in the 51st minute, pushing a shot past the endline for a corner kick that was defended without a shot attempt.

Back at the other end of the field, Mitchell had a shot blocked in the 52nd minute. USMMA kept on the attack as junior Marina Ronzoni (Riverhead, N.Y.) had a shot saved in the 54th minute before freshman Lauren Enterline (Harrisburg, Pa.) was denied in the 55th minute.

After making a save in the 61st minute, Ripperger denied the Rams once again in the 69th minute of action.

Mitchell had a 12-yard shot saved in the 70th minute before junior Emma Cox (Huntington, Md.) was turned away less than 45 seconds later.

The back-and-forth continued as Ripperger registered another save in the 72nd minute before Ronzoni had a shot stopped at the other end in the 75th minute. Senior Natalia Gallardo (El Paso, Texas) missed high in the 76th minute, which proved to be the final shot attempt of the game.
