KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 4, 2023) – The United States Merchant Marine Academy women's lacrosse team will play for a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth season in-a-row after dispatching the third-seeded Rams of Farmingdale State, 14-5 in the Skyline Semifinals.

Lauren Jablonowski (Levittown, N.Y.) set a career/game-high of five goals while also putting together a season-best seven draw control victories, matching the number of points she scored as she snagged a pair of assists.
Jaqui Sheedy (Baltimore, Md.) secured a career-best as well, recording four helpers on top of a contest-most five ground balls to go along with a pair of caused turnovers.
Nicole Nagengast (Seaford, N.Y.) was the other Blue and Gray clad lady to force multiple mistakes, pressuring the Rams into two miscues and scooping up a trio of grounders.
Three other Mariners went for three points on the evening as
Kaitlyn Latchaw (Phoenix, Md.),
Gianna Russo (Wake Forest, N.C.), and
Jenna Turrentine (Kennesaw, Ga.), with the latter two providing only goals while Latchaw tallied two assists and a goal.
Kings Point will attempt to defend its crown on Saturday in the Bronx against the number one seed, the SUNY Maritime Privateers, on their own turf at noon. Any live links for the game will be posted on
