KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 22, 2023) – The United States Merchant Marine Academy women's lacrosse team scored 20-plus goals for the third time this season and acknowledged its eight seniors prior to the game as the Mariners rolled to a 20-4 Senior Day triumph over the Knights of Mount St. Mary.

The Blue and Gray registered its most points (34), assists (16), and 19 draw controls in Skyline action while tying its overall season-high for free-position goals at five.

Senior
Meghan Malone (Crofton, Md.) made the most of her special day, setting new career-bests in both ground balls (6) and caused turnovers (5) with the latter being a single-contest high for a Mariners individual this year.

Classmate
Jaqui Sheedy (Baltimore, Md.) also went for career-highs in her final home game, raising the bar to eight points, seven shots, four goals, and four assists while also snagging 14 draw controls plus three ground balls and a pair of forced miscues. Her points, goals, assists, and draw control totals were all game-bests.

Another senior,
Jenna Turrentine (Kennesaw, Georgia), was not far behind Sheedy in points, racking up six of her own as well as five scores.

Non-seniors to make a big impact were
Kaitlyn Latchaw (Phoenix, Md.) and Lauren Jablonowski (Levittown, N.Y.), who combined to secure nine points on a half-dozen goals and a trio of assists.
