KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 20, 2022) – With a season-best offensive output, the USMMA men's lacrosse team defeated Skyline Conference opponent Mount St. Vincent, 21-5, on Wednesday afternoon at Brooks Stadium. The win gets the Mariners back to .500 at 6-6 overall, and improves their Skyline record to 3-1, while the Dolphins fall to 2-9 (1-4 Skyline) after the loss.

- A total of 13 different Mariners had a point offensively, with seven recording multi-point efforts.
- Freshman Jack Collins (Memphis, Tenn.) had a game-high eight points on six goals and two assists and senior Matt Groom (Bethpage, N.Y.) produced seven (two tallies and five helpers).
- Sophomore Sam Winkler (Moorestown, N.J.) and senior Zach Hasbrouck (Greenvale, N.Y.) registered five points each, with Winkler finding the back of the net four times and dishing out one assist and Hasbrouck with two goals and three helpers.
- Freshmen Michael Emerick (Damascus, Md.) had two tallies and one assist, classmate Jack Meyer (Sandy, Utah) scored once and contributed an assist and fellow Plebe Charlie Wahlin (Stafford, Va.) with a pair of helpers rounded out the multi-point scorers.
- Defensively, both senior Jason Aiello (Northport, N.Y.) and sophomore Dom Mirack (Stevensville, Md.) led all players with four caused turnovers each, with Mirack also tying freshman Chris Neuman (South Huntington, N.Y.) for the game-high with 10 groundballs.
- Neuman won 13-of-16 faceoffs, while classmate Noah Lastner (Pasadena, Md.) was victorious 10 times out of 14.
- The Mariners split the goaltending duties between junior starter Samuel Stephenson (Boca Raton, Fla.) who made five saves in the first half and sophomore Coby Schwartz (Pittsburgh, Pa.) with four stops in the second half.
- The Dolphins were led by Jacob Cochran, who scored twice and had one assist, while Gio Jean-Pharuns recorded a goal and one helper. Jake Luxoro had a team-best three caused turnovers and seven groundballs, and Sawyer Davis made 17 saves in the losing effort.Â
