KINGS POINT, N.Y. (March 21, 2022) – On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced the weekly award winners for men's lacrosse for the week ending March 20, and USMMA had three players recognized, including two taking home big honors.
Â
Sophomore
Dylan Lomelo (Old Bethpage, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Offensive Player of the Week, freshman
Michael Emerick (Damascus, Md.) earned the Rookie of the Week award and senior
Jason Aiello (Northport, N.Y.) landed on the weekly honor roll.
Â
The praise comes after the trio's performance in the Mariners' 12-6 home win over SUNY Poly this past Saturday at Brooks Stadium.
Â
Lomelo led all players in the game with five points on three goals and two assists, while also scooping up two groundballs. He now ranks second on the Mariners with 13 points (10 goals and three assists).
Â
Emerick had his second-straight multi-point game (and fourth of the season) with four points on Saturday. The Plebe found the back of the net twice and dished out two assists, while also picking up three groundballs.
Â
Aiello recorded a game-high three caused turnovers and also gobbled up four groundballs on the afternoon.
