KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 21, 2026) – U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's lacrosse senior
William Badeer (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was named the program's eighth All-American on Wednesday, earning United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Honorable Mention All-America honors as a midfielder. The accolade caps a stellar four-year career at Kings Point.

Badeer earned All-Skyline First Team honors for the second time in his career in 2026 after starting all 17 games for the Mariners and totaling 60 points on 46 goals and 14 assists. He also scooped up 29 ground balls during the season.

Dan Paccione. "He had an outstanding career at Our Academy, and he has grown into an incredible leader who will commission as a U.S. Navy Flight Officer in June."

Over his four-year career, Badeer started all 63 games that he appeared in and amassed 176 points on 130 goals and 46 assists, while also recording 74 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

He becomes the Mariners' first All-American since
Carter Hall '23 earned USILA Honorable Mention All-America recognition in 2023.

Badeer helped lead the Mariners to an 11-6 overall record in 2026, including a 6-1 mark in Skyline Conference play. Merchant Marine also earned the No. 1 seed in the Skyline Tournament for the first time since 2018.
