KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 31, 2022) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Athletic Department has updated its spectator policy for the remainder of the winter season for men's and women's basketball. The new policy will take effect on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022.
Â
Spectators will be permitted at all USMMA home games played at the Liebertz Gymnasium inside O'Hara Hall. However, fans must adhere to the following:Â
- Before entering the Liebertz Gym, fans must show proof of full vaccination and a valid ID in the main lobby of O'Hara Hall (two weeks after the second dose of Moderna or Pfizer or the single dose of Johnson & Johnson).
Once inside the gym, all spectators will be required to wear a mask covering both their mouth and nose. (Please note: wear masks, not gaiters!) Update: As of Feb. 19, masks will no longer be required for vaccinated guests.
- Fans are only permitted to enter game facilities. Fans are not permitted to roam campus at any point.
- All home games will be streamed live on www.USMMASports.com.
This policy is subject to change. Any changes will be posted on our website
www.USMMASports.com and our social media pages (see links below).
Â
For road games, we strongly recommend fans check the website of the host institution for their respective spectator policies.
