KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 15, 2022) – The USMMA women's basketball team held the visiting Pratt Cannoneers to just 22% shooting from the field and picked up a 63-36 victory Saturday afternoon at Liebertz Gymnasium. The Mariners' win is their third straight and moves them to 11-3 on the season, with all those decisions coming by at least 18 points.

Grace Jackson (Parma, Idaho) had another monster day with a near double-double performance of 26 points and nine rebounds.
Bryanne Buchanan-Cummings (Dacula, Ga.) went 7-of-8 at the free throw line in route to 11 points and eight rebounds on the day.

USMMA found themselves tied early in the second quarter but surged ahead on a 14-0 run over the final 7:10 of the first half to head to the locker room on top, 30-16.
Abby Stramski (Jones, Okla.) drew the start for the first time this season and chipped in across the box score with four points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

The Mariners piled on the pressure in the third quarter ultimately put the game away with a 23-6 performance in the period. Senior
Madison Reddick (Baker, Mont.) put in eight of her ten points in the second half as both teams emptied their bench down the stretch. The USMMA defense finished with 10 steals, forcing 10 turnovers on the day, while allowing only 13 field goals all day. Â
