(Nov. 20, 2021) – The USMMA women's basketball team defeated Skyline Conference opponent Old Westbury, 59-38, on Saturday afternoon at Farmingdale State College's Lynch Sports Center. The victory improves the Mariners' record to 3-0 (2-0 Skyline), while the Panthers open the season 0-1 (0-1 Skyline) in defeat.
USMMA Notables
- Senior Madison Reddick (Baker, Mont.) led all players in the game with 16 points, while also bringing down seven rebounds.
- Sophomore Bryanne Buchanan-Cummings (Dacula, Ga.) had her second-straight double-double with 12 points and a team-best 15 rebounds.
- Two other players just missed out on double-doubles, as freshman Grace Jackson (Parma, Idaho) had 14 points and nine rebounds, while junior Madison Demos (Downers Grove, Ill.) added nine points and 11 boards.
Farmingdale State Leaders
- Junior Ja'nya Flash had 12 points and a game-high 21 rebounds.
- Sophomore Melinda Harris added 10 points and classmate Ashley Cattle had nine.
