Dr. Stephen M. DiRusso is a highly distinguished American trauma surgeon, academic leader, and retired military officer. Over a career spanning nearly four decades, Dr. DiRusso successfully integrated high-level civilian trauma care and medical education with elite operational service as a medical officer in the armed forces. Following an illustrious career in medicine, engineering, and military operations, as well as, having served as the Director of Surgery at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Director of Surgical Critical Care at St. Barnabas Hospital (SBH Health System) in the Bronx, New York.
