KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 26, 2026) – USMMA women's lacrosse junior Leslie Wysong (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) earned ECAC Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second straight season, the league announced recently. Additionally, Wysong and fellow junior Grace Picozzi (Collegeville, Pa.) earned All-ECAC accolades for their spectacular 2026 seasons for the Mariners.
 
Wysong, who also repeated as the Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Year, was a First Team All-Skyline selection this season after ranking second in the league in points per game, assists per game and draw controls per game, while also ranking fourth in caused turnovers per game and ground balls per game and sixth in goals per game. In the nation, the junior finished the year 46th in caused turnovers per game, 53rd in draw controls, 56th in assists and 67th in both points and ground balls.
 
Picozzi, who was recently named to the IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region Second Team, also landed on the All-Skyline First Team in 2026. She was the conference leader in goals per game (while also ranking 28th in the nation in that category, and was second in points, third in draw controls, fifth in assists and ninth in caused turnovers.

The pair of juniors helped lead the Mariners to an 11-4 overall record, including an 8-0 mark in Skyline Conference action, which earned the squad the top seed in the conference tournament.
