FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (May 10, 2026) – The fifth-seeded USMMA baseball team fell to top-seeded Farmingdale State, 5-2, on Day 3 of the Skyline Conference Baseball Double-Elimination Championship Tournament on Sunday morning. The Mariners conclude their season with a 24-16 record, while the Rams, winners of 21-straight, improve to 27-9.

How It Happened
Farmingdale State struck first in the second inning with an RBI groundout to take a 1-0 lead.
The Rams added to their advantage in the fifth inning when an RBI single to right center extended the lead to 2-0.
Entering the game, sophomore Luke Kruer (Sellersburg, Ind.) was tied with Davey May '09 for the single-season record for home runs with 13. He helped the Mariners battle back in the eighth inning, setting a new single-season record in homers with 14 on his fourth at-bat, with a two-run shot down the left field line to even the game at 2-2.
Farmingdale State responded in the bottom of the ninth inning with a three-run rally. An RBI single up the middle gave the Rams a 3-2 advantage before another base hit to center field plated two more runs to extend the lead to 5-2, as the Rams went on to capture their second straight Skyline Championship title.
