Junior
Emily Grasseler (Millbrook, N.Y.) recorded a career-high 29 points as part of a double-double effort with 10 rebounds, while sophomore
Carolae Barton (Waldorf, Md.) also notched a double-double with 21 points and a game-high 14 boards. Two other players scored in double-figures for the Mariners, as sophomore

USMMA controlled the action early on the road, building a steady first-half advantage with strong defensive pressure and efficient scoring in the paint. Kings Point limited Sarah Lawrence's early offensive rhythm, turning stops into transition opportunities and gradually pushing the margin into double figures by halftime without allowing a sustained Gryphons run.
The Mariners opened the second half with another strong stretch, extending the lead through consistent execution on both ends and continuing to win the rebounding battle. Sarah Lawrence showed some push midway through the half, but USMMA answered each response with timely baskets and defensive stops to maintain control and keep the cushion intact.
In the final quarter, KP remained composed, closing out the game by protecting the ball and finishing possessions inside. Sarah Lawrence never closed the gap to a serious threat, and USMMA sealed the 20-point road win by controlling the paint and managing the closing minutes efficiently.
USMMA shot efficiently and controlled the glass en route to the road win. The Mariners finished 34-for-70 (48.6%) from the field and 6-for-18 (33.3%) from three, while holding Sarah Lawrence to 28-for-70 (40.0%) overall and 4-for-16 (25.0%) from beyond the arc. KP held a 51-33 rebounding advantage, including 17 offensive boards and also enjoyed notable edges in specialty areas, scoring 46 points in the paint and 22 second-chance points, while limiting the Gryphons to eight second-chance points and winning the turnover battle in points, 15-10, all while leading wire-to-wire.
Sarah Lawrence was led offensively by Sarah Theriault, who scored a game-high 19 points, while Gabby Hudson added 17 points and a team-best seven rebounds. Jade Eng-Stewart finished with 13 points, and Colleen Coughlin contributed 10 points as the Gryphons placed four players in double figures despite the loss.
