RED HOOK, N.Y. (Sept. 20, 2025) - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's cross country team suited up at the Fred Pavlich Invitational on Saturday morning at Montgomery Place. The Mariners battled against six other Division III squads at the event, including #15 nationally ranked Vassar and CUNY powerhouse Hunter.

Freshman Eleanor Romeo (Carson City, Nev.) led the way for Merchant Marine with an eighth-place finish, crossing the finish line in 26:05.6. Classmate Lili Telvi (Southampton, N.Y.)Â put up her first top 20 finish of the season, coming across in 18th overall with a time of 27:29.1.
Freshman Harmony Taylor (Morgantown, Ky.) posted a time of 30:27.9, while sophomore Karley Rush (Trinity, Fla.) finished in 31:28.1 and junior Katie Bray (Trussville, Ala.) in 32:10.9.
The Blue and Gray return to action on Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Queensborough Invitational at 11 a.m.
