KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 9, 2025) – The USMMA men's tennis team lost on Wednesday to arch-rival Coast Guard, 6-1, at the Brooks Stadium Courts. In defeat, the Mariners fall to 2-3, while the Bears' record improves to 2-9.

In doubles action, the freshman duo of Fredrich Buquel (Mission, Texas) and Aaron Zhao (Temple City, Calif.) won at the #2 flight, 6-2, but it was the only victory the Mariners could muster in doubles, so the Bears took the 1-0 lead early.
 
Sophomore Patrick Novotny (Fort Worth, Texas) was the only Mariner to claim a victory in singles, as he won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at the #6 flight.
 
The Mariners return to action this Sunday, April 13, for their Senior Day and 142 Match against Skyline opponent Sarah Lawrence College. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Brooks Stadium Courts. The Senior Day ceremony will be held on Tomb Field at approximately 2:45 p.m.
