They were led by junior Garrett Clapsaddle (Murphy, N.C.), who finished the night going 2-for-5 at the plate with the go-ahead three-RBI double in the fifth inning to go along with a two-out, two-RBI single in the sixth that helped extend the USMMA lead.

Classmate Jack Millen (Shelby, N.C.) opened the scoring on the night with a solo home run down the left field line to lead off the bottom of the first, but the Falcons answered right back in the top of the second. Millen went 3-for-5 with the homer and two runs scored.
