TEANECK, N.J. (March 20, 2024) – Junior
Jack Millen (Shelby, N.C.) reached base four times in his first game of the season and senior

Millen went 2-for-4 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored to lead the Mariners offensively, while junior
Garrett Clapsaddle (Murphy, N.C.) finished 3-for-5 with a triple. Reistetter (3-1) struck out six and also scored a run as part of a 2-for-4 day at the plate.
Â
USMMA sent nine men to the plate in the second inning and scored four two-out runs. A leadoff walk and a one-out walk set the table before a two-out error kept the inning alive and allowed a run to score. Millen promptly followed with an RBI single before an errant pickoff attempt chased home another run for the Mariners. Freshman
Tommy Chiappetti (Buckeye, Ariz.) added an RBI single that gave USMMA a 4-0 advantage.
Â
After tossing a 1-2-3 frame in the fourth, Reistetter helped his own cause in the fifth by starting things with a one-out single. Reistetter then stole second and advanced to third on an infield single before scoring on a wild pitch to put USMMA up 5-2.
Â
Reistetter worked another 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the fifth on his way to retiring nine-straight before allowing a two-out single in the sixth.
Â
USMMA added an insurance run in the ninth for a 6-2 lead as freshman
Landon Troutt (Fairfield, Calif.) came through with a two-out RBI single.
Â
The Mariners return to action on March 22 with a 6 p.m. road game at Kean. Live stats and a live video feed of the game will be available with links on
