Tyler Reistetter (Dickinson, Texas), his second long ball in as many games, proved to be the difference as USMMA held on for a 3-2 victory against Alfred State.

Jared Chambers (Houston, Texas) went 2-for-4 with an RBI for USMMA (6-4), while sophomore
Michael Monkevich (Gaithersburg, Md.) surrendered one run in 6.0 innings of work to earn the victory. Alfred State (8-5) was held scoreless until a two-run seventh.

USMMA needed just four batters to grab a quick 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Senior
Joey Zanetti (Richmond, Va.) led off with an infield single before Chambers ripped a two-out RBI triple into center.

The Mariners put together a two-out rally to tack on a pair of runs in the third. After two quick outs, sophomore
Jack Millen (Shelby, N.C.) extended the inning with a triple to left. Reistetter followed with a two-run blast to right field that gave USMMA a 3-0 advantage.

A leadoff single chased Monkevich in the seventh before Alfred State made it a 3-2 game with a sacrifice fly and a two-out RBI single

Caden Pierce (Marietta, Ga.) worked a scoreless ninth to pick up the save.
