KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 2022) – On Wednesday, the Skyline Conference announced the postseason awards and All-Skyline teams for women's volleyball and USMMA had the maximum amount of players honored, including senior
Paige Smith (Virginia Beach, Va.), who took home the Skyline Player of the Year award. Smith and junior
Brittany Breland (Bryan, Texas) were selected to the All-Skyline First Team, while junior
Meredith Buchanan (Kathleen, Ga.) and senior
Claire Hyun (Issaquah, Wash.) landed on the All-Skyline Second Team.

Smith ranked in the top-11 in the Skyline Conference in four different categories, as she was second in the league with 3.51 kills per set and 4.14 points per set, while also ranking eighth with 3.46 digs per set and 11th with a .232 hitting percentage. She earned Skyline Player of the Week honors once and landed on the weekly honor roll three other times throughout the year. Smith tied for the team-high with 11 double-doubles on the season.

Breland was ninth in the Skyline and second on the Mariners with 2.59 kills per set and was 12th in the league with 2.93 points per set. The junior also picked up 2.00 digs per set and landed on the Skyline weekly honor roll once throughout the season for her performances. She had four double-doubles this year.

Buchanan contributed 2.47 kills per set and 2.87 points per set, ranking third on the team in both categories. She was honored by the conference once on the weekly honor roll back in late September. The junior recorded three double-doubles throughout the campaign.

Hyun ranked second in the Skyline Conference with 8.89 assists per set and was third on the team with 2.84 digs per set. She reached the 1,000 career assist plateau in the final match of her career last weekend. The senior tied Smith for the team-high with 11 double-doubles.
