MILTON, N.Y. (Nov. 8, 2025) – Senior
Luke Zwiesler (Colbert, Wash.) led the way for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's cross country team
on Saturday, winning the ECAC Individual Title and guiding the Mariners to their second ECAC North Crown in three seasons at the ECAC Division III North Championship Meet at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y. Merchant Marine placed six runners inside the top 10 and seven in the top 15 overall en route to a dominant first-place finish out of eight teams with 23 points, defeating Skyline Conference foe St. Joseph's Long Island by 33 points.

Zwiesler continued his exceptional senior season with another first-place finish out of a competitive field of 56 runners, clocking in with a winning time of 27:13.3. Classmate Silas Glynn (Folsom, Calif.) and junior Pierce Murray (Meridian, Idaho) capped the 1-2-3 finish for the Blue and Gray, finishing in second and third with times of 28:29.8 and 28:52.9, respectively.
Freshmen Arjun Suresh (Plainsboro, N.J.) and Enois Maceira (Monroe Township, N.J.) crossed the finish line in eighth and ninth with times of 29:42.4 and 29:44.7. Senior Alex Virostek (Silver Lake, Ohio) rounded out the top 10 finishers for USMMA in 10th with a time of 29:55.7. Classmate Elijah Ramthun (Bozrah, Conn.) capped off KP's dominant effort, finishing 15th at the event with a time of 31:20.1.
Merchant Marine competes at the NCAA DIII Metro Region Championship on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at Dream Park in Logan Township, N.J.
