Skyline Selects Kappas As Women’s Volleyball Player Of The Week

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 29, 2019) – The Skyline Conference announced on Tuesday morning that USMMA senior setter Kyleigh Kappas (Parker, Colo.) was named the league's Women's Volleyball Player of the Week after her performances in the Mariners' two conference sweeps last week against Old Westbury on Monday and Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday. 

Kappas set the Mariners' all-time career assist record on Wednesday night in front of her home crowd at the Liebertz Gymnasium. She now sits at 2,679 career assists. The senior recorded 11.33 assists per set over USMMA's two sweeps last week - with 32 on Monday against OW and 36 on Wednesday. She's also on pace to set the career assists-per-set record as well.

The Mariners return to action this Saturday, Nov. 2, at a non-conference tri-match at Ramapo College. They will take on the host Roadrunners at 11 a.m. before closing out the day against Lehman in a neutral-site match scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Any live links for the matches will be available on the USMMA Women's Volleyball Schedule Page
