KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 6, 2019) – The NCAA unveiled the 2019 Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship bracket late Sunday night and the back-to-back Skyline Conference Champion U.S. Merchant Marine Academy WLAX team found out where it will be traveling for the opening round this weekend as well as who it will play.
The Mariners (17-0) will take on Lebanon Valley (11-7), winner of the MAC Commonwealth Conference, this coming Saturday, May 11, beginning at 1 p.m. The game will take place at Salisbury University in Maryland. This is the second-straight season that USMMA will travel to Salisbury for the opening rounds of NCAA Tournament.

This is Merchant Marine's second straight trip to the NCAA Championship, as they earned an automatic berth into the tourney after defeating Farmingdale State in the Skyline Conference Championship Game, 22-5, this past Saturday.
Lebanon Valley is making the program's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Championship after earning the MAC Commonwealth title with a 10-5 road victory at Stevenson on Saturday.
The winner of the first round game will move on to face the host Sea Gulls (16-3) in the second round. Salisbury was the runner-up in the Colonial Athletic Conference Tournament. The Sea Gulls were ranked sixth in the nation in the latest IWLCA Coaches Poll, which was released on April 29.
