In the third quarter, the Gophers went up by as many as 25 points. Even though Goucher shot 60-percent in the third, the Mariners were able to keep the deficit from getting much larger by shooting a perfect 14-for-14 from the charity strip. After the third USMMA was down 25 points, 60-35. Merchant Marine brought the deficit down to just 19 points late in the fourth quarter, but that was the closest the visitors would get.

Merchant Marine returns to the court tomorrow, Feb. 20, when the Mariners square off against Landmark rival Catholic in the 2015-16 season finale. Tip is set for 4 p.m. at the Cardinals' DuFour Center. Live stats and a live video feed of the game will be available by clicking those links.
