KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 15, 2019) – U.S. Merchant Marine Academy sophomore runner Aodhan Meyer (South Kingston, R.I.) was selected by the Skyline Conference as its Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after his showing at the St. Lawrence Hoffmann Invite/Pre-Atlantic Regional Meet this past Saturday. This is the second-straight week that Meyer has been honored by the Skyline, as he landed on the weekly honor roll last week.
Meyer was the first Mariner to cross the finish line in the 8K race on Saturday, as he finished with a time of 27:02.3, which was good for 60th place out of the 277 runners. The sophomore helped lead the Mariners to a 15th-place team showing at the ultra-competitive event.
