KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Nov. 20, 2018) – On Tuesday morning, the Skyline Conference announced that USMMA seniors Christopher Kahl (Solomons, Md.) and Thomas Curry (Los Angeles, Calif.) were selected as the league's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively. The accolades come after the duo's performances at the season-opening USMMA Memorial Invitational this past Saturday.
Kahl beat out Division I and II swimmers in multiple events, including winning the 100 backstroke in 52.69, while also coming in second in the 200 back in 1:56.58 and third in the 200 individual medley in 2:00.87. His lone relay team, the 200 medley relay also came in second place in 1:37.41, where he swam a 24.72 in the first leg (50 back).
In the very first meet of the season, Curry hit an NCAA Qualifying Mark in the one-meter board with a score of 283.40. That was good for third place in the event. The senior needs to hit the NCAA Qualifying Mark just one more time on the one-meter board to officially qualify for the NCAA Diving Regional Meet in March.

The Mariners return to action the weekend of Nov. 30-Dec. 2, when they travel to Ewing, N.J., for the TCNJ Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey.
