MLAX Drops Neutral Site Game Vs. Alfred, 10-6, In Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 11, 2015) – The USMMA men's lacrosse team lost to Alfred University, 10-6, on Wednesday afternoon at Myrtle Beach High School. The Mariners fall to 1-2 overall on the season, while the Saxons improve to 3-0.

Freshman Nick Treon (Danville, Pa.) led the way for Merchant Marine with two goals and two assists. Senior Geoff Harty (Chicago, Ill.) added three assists and South Carolina-native, freshman Tucker Dodson (Charleston, S.C.), chipped in with two goals.

Sophomore Dan McGovern (Baltimore, Md.) and junior Rob Tirrito (Centerport, N.Y.) also found the back of the net for the Mariners and senior Ray Waters (Sayville, N.Y.) contributed an assist.

Full statistics for the game will be available when the team returns from their Spring Break trip.

The road swing continues this Saturday, March 14, with the Landmark Conference opener against Goucher College in Towson, Md. Game time is scheduled for 12-noon.
