Washington Earns Spot On Skyline Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 23, 2019) – The Skyline Conference announced on Monday that U.S. Merchant Marine Academy senior David Washington (Frisco, Texas) was selected to the league's weekly honor roll for men's basketball for the week ending Jan. 20. The praise comes after his performances in the Mariners' three games last week, where they picked up wins home against Farmingdale State on Tuesday and on the road at St. Joe's-Brooklyn on Saturday and lost to SUNY Maritime Thursday at home.

Washington averaged a double-double on the week, scoring 13.0 points and bringing down 10.0 rebounds over the three games. On Tuesday, he led all players with a career-high 27 points and then on Saturday in a road win at SJC-Brooklyn, he contributed 17 rebounds, six blocks and four assists.
