In the second quarter, the Mariners kept their foot on the gas pedal scoring on drives of 68 and 75 yards.  Luke Stidham caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Matt McDaniels.  McDaniels followed with a 2-yard score of his own on the next drive.  Erik Swayne added a 24-yard field goal to give USMMA a 31-0 lead just before the half.

Maritime (1-2) came out to start the second half strong while posting 17 third quarter points.  Their biggest play, a 71-yard run by Greg Caneparo made it 34-17.

The Mariners defense was led by Keyes who racked up 6 tackles and a forced fumble. Charles Helms added 4 tackles (1 sack and one tackle for a loss), while Andrew Hendrix contributed in a strong way with 6 tackles.
