Anna (Maly) Stewart ’93 was a four-year letterwinner with the track and field program. She is arguably one of the best track athletes to compete for the Mariners as she still holds seven outdoor track and field records to- day (2009). In her sophomore season, she was an ECAC Indoor Champion for the shot put and finished second in the Pentathlon. Maly stayed busy her junior year in which she took home two championships. She was the Outdoor College Track Conference (CTC) Heptathlon Champion and the CTC Indoor Pentathlon Champion. She also took sixth in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Heptathlon giving her All-American honors and additionally finished eighth at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in the shot put. Maly’s senior season proved to be her best as she was named the CTC Outdoor Heptathlon Champion, the 1993 Julie A. Berke Trophy winner and achieved All-American honors when she became the NCAA Division III Outdoor Heptathlon National Champion.
