|Title:||HOF Class of '17|
Jim Pacileo ’77 was a three-year letter winner and starting quarterback for the Academy football team and was a Captain his senior year. He led the team to a 15-3 record as a starter over three seasons and a major factor in the program’s best ever three year record of 21-6. Included in those victories was a perfect record versus archrival Coast Guard. Pacileo threw for over 2,000 yards in his career. During his senior season in 1976, Pacileo quarterbacked the Mariners to an 8-1 record, which earned the Mariners the best national ranking in Academy history - fifth. The Mariners ranked as high as second in the ECAC Lambert Bowl standings of top Division III teams in the East. Pacileo set two single-game Academy records for most completions thrown (18) and most touchdown passes thrown (3). Pacileo also lettered for the Kings Point baseball team as a starting centerfielder.
