United States Merchant Marine Academy

Mike Stroud enters his 10th season with the United States Merchant Marine Academy football program in 2026. He currently coaches the Mariners' cornerbacks and has previously worked with the linebackers and defensive line.

Stroud came to Kings Point after spending eight seasons at nearby SUNY Maritime College, where he served in a number of roles, including defensive coordinator, co-special teams coordinator, linebackers coach, and recruiting coordinator. His previous coaching stops also include the semi-professional SunCoast Vipers, the Naval Academy Preparatory School, and Laramie High School in Wyoming.

At USMMA, Stroud has served as Commandant of Midshipmen since 2016. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Arts from the Naval War College.

Stroud resides at the Academy with his wife, Taleen.
