Senior Co-Captain Jesselyn LaValley of the United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s volleyball team was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team. The announcement was made by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This is the first time that LaValley has earned First Team honors with the Landmark Conference.

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's volleyball finished its 2009 season with a 3-0 loss to Catholic University in the first round of the Landmark Conference Tournament. Jesselyn LaValley and Jenna Palaschak led the way for the Mariners.

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's volleyball team went 1-2 in their final home games of the season. The Mariners defeated Kean, 3-2 and then fell to Baruch, 3-1 and William Paterson, 3-1. Jesselyn LaValley and Jenna Palaschak led the way for the Mariners.

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's volleyball team defeated the College of New Rochelle, 3-0 in Kings Point, NY. The Mariners took game one, 25-11, game two, 25-19 and game three, 25-7. Junior Jenna Palaschak led the way for the Mariners.

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's volleyball team recorded their first ever Landmark Conference victory as they split a conference round-robin in Washington, DC. On Saturday, the Mariners defeated Scranton, 3-2 and then fell to Catholic on Sunday, 3-0. Senior Co-Captain Jesselyn LaValley came up big against Scranton while Senior Co-Captain Ana Fuschetto had a solid defensive game against Catholic.
