Women’s Swimming & Diving Concludes Action at Metro Champs

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women’s swimming and diving team closed out its three-day trip to the Metropolitan Championships this weekend at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center at Rutgers University. Kings Point placed 13th in team points with 168.  

Schmidt Tabbed to Landmark All-Conference First-team

MADISON, N.J. – The Landmark Conference issued its All-Conference squads on Wednesday and freshman Kathryn Schmidt of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women’s swimming team found her name on the First-team’s list. Schmidt was named the Landmark Diver of the Year this past weekend after winning each diving event at the conference championships.  

Three Mariners Earn Season Best Times

The United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s swimming and diving team fell to the United States Coast Guard Academy this afternoon 154-89.  The Mariners fall to 8-3 on the year while the Bears improve to 5-4.  The Bears also gain a point in the race for the Superintendents Trophy, with USMMA now leading 5-2. 

Mariners Earn First Landmark Conference Win Ever

The United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s swimming and diving team earned their first ever Landmark Conference win over Drew University this afternoon 56-37 before falling to Goucher College 52-43.  The Mariners had six second place finishes and two first place finishes to help pace them throughout the afternoon. 

Women’s Swimming & Diving Gets Fifth Victory Of The Season

The United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s swimming and diving team got its fifth victory of the season with a 106-89 defeat of the College of St. Elizabeth. USMMA finished the night with seven first place finishes.

Women’s Swimming & Diving Falls To Scranton, 93-71

The United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s swimming and diving team fell to the University of Scranton, 93-71 for their first dual meet loss of the season. USMMA finished the day with two victories and six second place finishes.
